1 Public Notices Public Notice Home Loans Available Public Notice Public Notice Legal Notice Tyler Community Development Public Hearing And Citizen Participation Meeting The City of Tyler has scheduled a public hearing and informational meeting for October 6, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall in Tyler. The meeting is intended to obtain citizen input, comments, recom- mendations, and suggestions regarding community development needs and pri- orities in Tyler The meeting will be an important part of the City of Tyler's citizen participation efforts and will have several purposes: 1.) To provide citizens with an op- portunity to participate in planning and developing projects as part of a possible application for funding under the Small Cities Development Grant Program; to en- courage citizens to offer their views and opinions; and to especially encourage "Because The People Must Know" such participation by low- to moderate- income persons and members of any mi- nority group. 2.) To provide citizens with informa- tion concerning the amount of funds avail- able for community development activi- ties, the types of activities which may be undertaken, limitations posed by the Small Cities Development Program, and other information pertaining to this (and other) community development assistance pro- grams. 3.) To offer citizens a means by which to present their views and con- cerns about community development and housing needs in Tyler, as well as the community development performance of the City of Tyler Citizens attending the meeting will have the opportunity to file written sug- gestions, complaints, and grievances pertaining to any matters outlined above or discussed at the meeting.
